First steps into GraphQL using Django. How It works? What can I do with GraphQL?
$>_ Profile
I build the infrastructure that moves money — and I've led the team that ran it.
12+ years in FinTech. Today I'm a senior engineer at PayJoy, building payment-provider integrations across multiple countries. Before that I spent 5 years at Tesorio, the last 3 leading its Integrations team of up to five engineers. I built the QuickBooks integration and drove syncs for NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Workday that together process tens of millions of record updates a day.
I maintain five open-source Django packages on PyPI, speak at DjangoCon US and PyCon Colombia, and work AI-native — I build my own MCP tooling and agentic workflows, including the system that helps me build this site.
$>_ Selected work
A personal finance platform: accounts, budgets, credit cards, loans, assets, and multi-currency tracking. In active development, with plans to become a standalone product.
A deck-building and collection tool built around one decision: a single domain layer serving both a human UI and programmatic/AI-agent callers with no shared context.
A multi-tenant SaaS for small production studios (3D printing, laser, porcelain): costing, inventory, production queues, and billing. Preparing for launch.
