Tikipal

What it is

Tikipal is a platform for discovering venues, events, and experiences in Bogotá: you buy digital access, receive a QR code, and walk in. It serves real venues and real crowds, where entry has to work the first time, every time.

My role

I designed and built Tikipal's initial infrastructure and backend, taking the platform from zero to production. As the company grew its own core team, I handed over day-to-day development; today I stay involved as an outside reviewer on pull requests.

Building something a team can take over is its own engineering discipline: the architecture, conventions, and deployment story had to be legible enough to survive my stepping back. That handover working smoothly is the outcome I am proudest of.
